Use this simple trick to hide local drives in My Computer without Softwares

  • Click on Start > Run > type gpedit.msc and hit Enter. Now Group Policy Editor will open.
  • Now click on the User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Explorer and then go to the right side of that explorer window and you can see a value mentioned No at the right side of the window.

Hide Drives in My Computer

 

  • Double click this option “Hide these specified drives in My Computer”.
  • Select Enable and select the drives you wish to hide from the drop down menu.

Avoid installing third party software’s to hide or protect your drives. By installing third party software’s on your windows operating system, your system files might get corrupted. This will also lead to failure of Windows Operating system.
